By Sarabeth Wyatt
I bought these tights along with an IT band strap because my outer knee was swelling after longer runs. I run half marathons. After viewing these on-line, I went to a running store to try them on because I fall between sizes XS and S. My trainer suggested the S because she said I might chafe if the pants were too tight. However, when I tried the pants on in the store, the XS held my knee better so I bought the XS, even though the fabric behind the knee "folded" with each knee bend over 45 degrees. My knee measures 13" circumference on center. I am 5' 2.5" and weight between 111 and 114 lbs. My hips measure 35".After 5 4-mile runs and a 5k, I've experienced no chafing. I like the way this tight cups my knee while providing support for the tendons. I believe the tights help to reduce fatigue and fluid build up during running.Thongs are the only type of underwear that can be worn with these -- how else could I tug them up? Regular underwear would ride up.I haven't needed to use the IT band strap with the tights.

By Spencer
I am a female runner and have a typical lean runner's body. I have a normally proportioned torso and long legs. So, at 5ft 7 1/2in. and 127 pounds, I fall into the "small" sizing area on CW-X's size chart (not sure what I would do if I were 5'8" and 130 pounds, also a typical runner's size--that height/weight combo on the chart falls into some unknown, sizeless white area).I bought these in a small like the chart suggested. In order to have the knee area fit properly over my knee, the ankle opening of the tights fall at mid-calf. The back of the knee area bunched up and made the skin sore. The waistband does not sit low and comfortable like in the picture, but uncomfortably up around my navel, making it uncomfortable to run. Very awkward--I returned them.I also bought a pair of the same tights in 3/4 length, in medium this time, thinking that would solve the issue. Same thing: when the knee area fits properly over my knee, the bottoms of the 3/4 length tights fit to just below my knee (nowhere near mid-calf, like in the picture), and the waist band came way up over my navel. Also returned those. Now I am out $10 in shipping costs that I had to pay back to return these to Amazon, and still have no good compression tights for running. You would think that making clothes tailored to runners and their bodies would result in more sizes, say a "tall" size for people like me who, at 5'7 1/2", are not exactly "tall" but too tall for a small, and too lean for a medium. Back to the drawing board.

Love these pants, received them just in time for my last two month of marathon training. Supports in just the right areas. It's a good investment, haven't worn them in temps below 50 yet, but feels comfortable in 50-70 degree weather. Will definitely purchase the 3/4 length and shorts in the spring. Had to go up one size compared to other products, length was good for 5ft10. Washes very well and keeps shape when line dried.
