okay, not great

very thin weight material, runs large and long. i wear a medium or 10 and these were too loose. no support at all and the hems dragged the floor. i'm 5'7.

The perfect workout pants!

I've been looking for fitness pants that are long enough to cover my ankles. I'm not super tall (5'7), but I'm in that awkward range where average length pants are too short and long pants are too long. I ordered both the average length and long length version of these pants, partly based on the previous reviewer who indicated she was about my height and size and the average pants were too long for her. To clear things up, the average length has a 31 inch inseam, while the longer length has a 33 inch inseam. At my height of 5'7, the long length version was definitely better than the average length. They hit right at the bottom of my heel (not wearing shoes) and I did not perceive them to be dragging on the floor. Of course, this is my personal preference; I'm looking for pants that will not expose my bare ankles while doing kickboxing.I also have to mention that these fitness pants are incredibly comfortable and extremely flattering to the figure! I'm about 140 lbs. and wear a size 8 or 10 (more toward size 10), so I purchased several different sizes to be sure I had the right fit. The large was definitely too big, while the medium was just right -- not tight but not loose. I would say that they do run true to size, so find a New Balance sizing chart online and order your normal size. These pants look so good that I would even consider wearing them for other purposes besides working out. I also love the material because it doesn't fade or shrink like cotton tends to do. If you're at least 5'6 tall or higher, I would definitely recommend purchasing the longer length fitness pants. Just be aware that Amazon sells the three different lengths under separate listings. For example, "New Balance Women's Fitness Running Pants" is average length, "New Balance Women's Fitness Long Running Pants" is long length, and "New Balance Women's Fitness Short Running Pants" is short length (29 inch inseam). Just be careful when ordering to make sure you purchase the correct length. Enjoy!

Good Fit For Running

I'm a size 4 usually and order a small. I like the length (I'm 5'6") and inseam. I wear them for running and think they do do a good job of keeping me warm but also breathing well.
