I ended up using them a lot more than I thought

I do circus arts and bought these to prevent rope burn on my feet and ankles, I usually don't have issues with leg cramps but lately I have been getting calf cramps; these helped SO much!My ankles are kinda messed up too(I probably jumped out of too many trees as a little kid idk) and these socks really give my ankle support and makes it easier for me to jump around and what not.

Uncomfortable...

When I run, I am very conscious of my posture and form. I don't have formal training, but I like how running makes me feel aligned. But when I ran with these on, it felt like everything was off, my form was mush. No fun at all. I thought at first that it was just my imagination, or that some forgotten activity had stressed the wrong muscle groups. But finally I got flustered and took them off part-way through my run. Presto! Everything felt right again.Maybe the feeling would have worn off over time, but I know my current running form, in vibram five finger shoes for a natural stride, does not aggravate my back or knees. Running in traditional, expensive shoes caused a lot of aches and pains. I'm happy with what I can do now, so I'm not willing to risk messing up my enjoyment or comfort to chase after a new trend.Hopefully it isn't causing anyone else the same kinds of problems, but if some new aches or pains crop up, it wouldn't hurt to consider the possibility that these affect your alignment.BTW, I do sometimes run in CW-X stabilyx compression tights. They do seem to stave off fatigue and do not cause me any alignment problems. I've no idea if it's because the CW-X brand is built for my body type, just better built, or if the 3/4 length avoids a trouble spot in my calves.
